Creating Assets

Creating Assets

What are Assets?

Assets are reusable analytics that you create in Spartera. They come
in two types: Calculations (data-driven computations, queries, and
metrics) and Visualizations (interactive charts and reports). Both
can be parameterized for dynamic filtering and user customization.

How do I create assets?

Use Spartera's built-in editors and templates to build calculations
and visualizations. You can parameterize assets for dynamic filtering,
manage versions, and edit your analytics as productized assets.

What metadata should I include with my assets?

Tag and document your assets with relevant metadata for easier
discovery. Include clear descriptions, usage instructions, and
parameter definitions to help users understand and utilize your
analytics effectively.

How can I test assets and provide previews?

Use the preview feature to test outputs before publishing. This
allows you to verify functionality and ensure your assets work as
expected before making them available to users.

How do I control and manage my published assets?

You can manage, edit, and version your analytics through the platform.
Make assets available for internal use, restricted team distribution,
or public marketplace listing based on your distribution preferences.

What are my responsibilities for data security?

You maintain full control over your data connections and access
permissions. Ensure proper authentication setup and use granular
access controls to manage who can access your assets and underlying
data sources.

Who is responsible for asset performance and accuracy?

As the asset creator, you are responsible for the performance and
accuracy of your analytics. Monitor your assets, optimize queries,
and maintain data quality to ensure reliable results for users.
